Campers must be 6 years old (as of January 1, 2025) through 10 years old. Please note that if your child is not within this age range, we will contact you to process a refund minus a $75 cancellation fee.

Another important note is that Summer Camp is geared towards absolute beginner riders. All riding skill levels are welcome though we will only be teaching he very basics of horse care, horse handling, mounting, dismounting, walking and steering.

How much does it cost?

Each weekly session is $795. Campers will receive a t-shirt and individually packaged snacks for the week. A $475 deposit is due at registration with the balance to be paid on or before May 15th, 2025. If the balance has not been paid your card will automatically be processed On May 15, 2025 for the balance due. Reminder emails will be sent to you via invoice sent from RockMeadow Equestrian Center.

What are your cancellation policies?

You can receive a refund up until May 15, less a $75 cancellation fee. User can cancel after May 15, and receive 50% refund if we can fill their spot with someone off of our waitlist. User will not receive a refund if their spot cannot be filled.

What does a camp day look like?

Monday-Friday, camp begins at 9:30am and ends at 3:30pm. Campers will spend a half-day working with and riding the horses and a half-day working on horse-related activities and crafts.

We invite camper’s parents to the camp show on Friday afternoons around 1:30pm so that our camp kids can show off some of the skills they’ve learned all week. (This will be on Thursday on week 2 because of the shorter week).

We do have aftercare available for an additional fee if you are unable to arrive by pick-up. The latest after care pick up would be at 5:30pm and would cost $20/hour/camper. During camp registration, please note your interest in after care in the allotted space. Our staff will be in touch to arrange details.

What kind of clothing and equipment is required?

Every camper must wear a helmet when around the horses. We require ASTM/SEI approved helmets and recommend that your camper has his/her own. We will have some available to borrow if needed. Campers should wear jeans or other long active wear pants for riding as well as a smooth soled riding boot or hiking boot with a heel.

What else should my camper bring?

We recommend that campers bring a change of clothes for when they get hot or dirty after riding — shorts or long pants are fine. We also ask that campers bring their own water bottles, sunscreen, and lunch.

If a camper needs any medication (eg inhalers for asthma, epi pens, etc), please indicate this when you register and bring the medication clearly marked with your camper’s name. Please note that one of our new American Camping Associates standards requires any medications brought to the camp to be in a bottle with doctor's orders written on the bottle. All medications must be given to the staff for safety and administered only by staff.
